  1. The field trip was pretty good for the most part. Some of the speakers were really boring like the Mayor and the Cupcake ladies, but the guy who owns "Nurse Next Door" was pretty good. The booths were overall also pretty good. It was smaller than last year but still allright. The Langara College booth was weird because the lady seemed like was trying to force you to come to Langara for post-secondary. She was desparate as if her job depended on it. I think the funnest part of the trip was probably going upto the Pan Pacific and looking at the city.

There were lots of intresting booths at the convention. Most of them I found were rather dull and boring... Only a couple of them really caught my intrest. 1) Impact. although the presentation in their booth was dull the people there were very friendly, down to earth and didn't thorw a bunch of info on you, give you pamflets and sent you off on your merry way. They attracted people to their booth by making a tower out of play doh and sticks. 2) London School. They had a work shop where you could see the students work. The instructor was very nice and was really helpfull in helping me understand what kind of requirments were needed into entering the school.

  6. Ken Sim was awesome. He what he was doing. The Langara College booth was pretty funny the chick was so unprepared and made fun of her own college. I got a lot of free stuff and a t-shirt, overall it was pretty good.

  7. I think the best thing at innovasion was the speeches. Since i'm grade 12 it was good to get some university and college intro books. I found it hard to listen to some of the colleges and universities because they all pretty much say the same thing.

  11. The field trip was kind of boring. The cupcake girls, and the nurse next door were both good presentations. Cupcake girls had a good marketing stragety. Some booths were extremly boring but the London school was a good booth.

  12. A lot of booths at the convention weren't interesting and they didn't stand out from the other booths. However it was interesting to listen to the speakers and how they started their business

  20. The fieldtrip was good. The best presenter was Ken Sim because he knew what he was talking about, and he connected with his audience. Another good thing was the free candy and the competition to advertise the chocolate bar was fun

  21. I think the innovasion was a great success because of how everything tunred out. My favorite persenter was the nurse next door guy I think he put on a great presentation and I was really into it. Overall i think it was a great field trip and I would love to go back again.

  22. I think the Innovasion Fair was a great opportunity to learn about business opportunities and entrepreneurial strategies. There was a lot of time to walk around and visit booths so it was unfortunate that there weren't more companies involved. But I loved the presentations, some people have some really great stories to tell.

Frankly, I didn't love the Ken Sim guy- but I think its hilarious that you guys all did. But its true eh, you drop the F-bomb and all of a sudden everyone's listening!

Alot of you commented about the fieldtrip being boring. I can see where you're coming from. It would have been nice if the people at the booths at made an effort to have more activity based sales pitches. For instance, there was one booth that had a 'pitch off' between some visitors and the winner won a prize. This was an awesome idea because it created a crowd and sparked people's interest. This is definitelt a good strategy to consider if any of you ever get into sales or do in fact start your own business...
